Each year, Koats for Kids collects and distributes over 6,000 winter coats, ski pants, and boots (plus thousands of hats, mitts and scarves) to children and families in Winnipeg. We're seeking small groups of volunteers - such as families, friends and co-workers - to join us for a few hours and help sort donations and fill orders of winter outerwear for local schools, daycares and community organizations. Note: Volunteers may be required to stand for an extended period of time. Please wear comfortable clothing and footwear.
Koats for Kids season will begin in November and continue into the new year. Volunteer shifts are Monday to Thursday, from 9:30am to 12:00pm and 1:30pm to 4:00pm on Tuesday and Thursday. There can be up to 6 volunteers per shift. Get your colleagues, friends and family together and share the warmth this season!
